Looking for the Brightkite iPhone app?

Click on their tomato-y faces to get the scoop on the Brightkite iPhone app and to throw your own tomatoes. I feel much better having thrown them. :)

By the way, this is how EVERY web service should be handling their blog. Transparency takes balls and earns respect. Tell the user what’s happening, even when it’s not good news and own up to your responsibility to your community. It’s time that every website operated this way, so kudos to Brightkite for having the balls to say “yeah, it’s behind, but we’re working on it and you can throw virtual plant life at us while you’re waiting.”

Rock on.

I'm happy to see how they're handling this. I've been using Brightkite a lot more since getting my iPhone, but I'm definitely looking forward to the app.
